What's the Dealio?
I've decided working is for suckers. This whole idea of earning an honest living through hardwork and perseverence is really a sham, the smart people in this world aren't working 9 to 5 or starting their own companies, they're going on game shows.
You go on a game show, you play a GAME (who doesn't like games?), and you walk away with big cash and prizes. Even better, if you don't want to bother playing the game then just sit in the audience and walk away with the audience giveaway. It's so simple, why didn't I think of this long ago. I go to business school every week and all I get are free coffee and donuts, and I don't even drink coffee, and I shouldn't be eating so many donuts!
The tricky part is getting tickets. Just having a ticket in hand doesn't guaranty that you're getting in, and there are different levels of tickets, which means if you show up early but have a low priority ticket, well thanks for keeping my spot in line warm.
Fortunately I didn't have to worry about that on Friday, when Lisa's boss hooked us up with top priority tickets to Deal or No Deal. Having never seen the show I didn't really no what I was getting myself in to, but here's how it basically works. You show up, you wait for about three hours, then they seat you, give you instructions on how to act, when to clap, how the game is played, etc... the briefcase models start showing up, guys in the crowd devolve into social stereotypes, then Howie Mandel comes out and shoots the commercial spots, then the contestants come out and get prepped.
They shoot the show for the next two and half hours, then you wait in line to leave, you sign a sheet saying you won't disclose who won, then you sign a W-9 tax form and wait in line to collect the prizes that were announced. And here's what we walked away with:
1. a $100 gas card
2. a Treo 750 smartphone
3. a bluetooth wireless headset
4. an Ultreo ultrasonic toothbrush
5. a premium pass to Universal Studios
6. an Archos WiFi Media Player
7. a Roundtrip ticket to anywhere on Jetblue
So basically all we did was stand around, sit around, laugh on cue, and wait around some more and after 7 and a half hours walked away with over $2000 in prizes. <---See those smiling faces? That's what free cash and prizes can do for you. I tell you, this life is all about making the right choices and I think I choose to be a game show audience bum.

So True! I wish I had the time to just go around watching/ participating on game shows and get free prizes! You guys scored awesome prizes! A free roundtrip ticket on Jetblue! Awesome! My sister was on Deal or No Deal. She did well! She is a gameshow person. She is just one of those that has the personality to get picked. She started out on The Price is Right and the latest one was Deal or No Deal. Oh... this is Tiffany. Hi!
That's it, I'm retiring.
